Convention

The AFFI Honor Guard is the largest non-military honor guard in the United States, with nearly 800 members representing firefighter locals throughout Illinois. Each year, our convention brings together more than 1,000 firefighters, family members, community supporters, and industry partners from across the state.

Since our founding, the AFFI Honor Guard has remained committed to a direct mission: honoring our fallen brothers and sisters, supporting their families, and standing in unwavering solidarity with every IAFF local throughout Illinois. Our members volunteer countless hours, travel at their own expense, and train extensively to ensure every line-of-duty death, memorial service, and ceremonial event is conducted with the dignity and professionalism our profession deserves.

The annual convention is more than a training event. It is an opportunity to strengthen our skills, build camaraderie, and raise the funds necessary to continue our mission without placing an additional financial burden on the members who so generously give their time and talents.

Your sponsorship will directly:

• Help offset the costs of training, travel, and lodging, ensuring the convention remains affordable for our members.
• Support the continued presence of the AFFI Honor Guard at line-of-duty funerals, memorial services, firefighter memorials, and public events throughout Illinois.
• Ensure our members have the equipment, training, and resources necessary to serve families and communities with honor.

In recognition of your generosity, your organization will be prominently featured in the official convention program and on promotional materials displayed throughout the event. Sponsorship also provides an opportunity to connect directly with firefighters from across Illinois through vendor displays, networking, and event participation.

Basket & Item Donations

Donations of fully assembled gift baskets or individual raffle items are greatly appreciated. Popular donations include event tickets, handcrafted items, gift cards, tools, appliances, and other quality merchandise. Please contact us as soon as you have an item to donate so we can properly acknowledge your generosity.

Important Deadline: Please submit all sponsorship commitments, artwork, and donations for the convention program by December 5, 2026.
