 It is our pleasure to inform you that Associated Fire Fighters of Illinois (AFFI) President Emeritus David Foreman will be inducted into the Illinois Labor History Society (ILHS) Union Hall of Honor on December 3, 2026.

Many of you know Dave and his lifelong commitment to the labor movement in general and the Associated Fire Fighters of Illinois specifically. In addition to his AFFI President Emeritus status, Dave is still a member of Joliet Fire Officers Union Local 2369, and an active member of the AFFI Labor History Committee. For those that are not aware, the AFFI headquarters building in Springfield is named in honor of him.

This is a prestigious honor for a remarkable union leader that propelled the AFFI forward over many decades.

We strongly encourage your local union, business or firm to place this on your next meeting agenda and consider supporting Dave Foreman’s induction into the Illinois Labor History Society Union Hall of Honor.
