It was an early morning for the attendees of the 33rd Annual AFFI Honor Guard Convention with training for new and existing members kicking off bright and early.
In 2025 alone, the AFFI Honor Guard conducted over 130 training drills throughout the state... a testament to our moto of "Whatever It Takes." #AFFIHG2026 #whateverittakes

The AFFI Honor Guard's motto of "Whatever It Takes" starts at the Annual Induction Dinner and Ceremony. Here, new members receive their initial training, are inducted into the organization, and make a commitment to do "Whatever It Takes" to honor our fallen comrades.
This weekend, 80 new inductees will join existing members, as well as, friends and family to honor the fallen.

We currently operate with just one firefighter per shift. While hiring two additional firefighters was on the agenda to strengthen public safety, unfortunately no action was taken.
